The overwhelming majority of Syrian opposition groups has confirmed the agreement on a truce. According to some estimates, there are about 100 paramilitary organizations.
The ceasefire should come into force in the night of Saturday, February 27. It is unclear who, except for the terrorist organization «Islamic state», refused to sign the ceasefire agreement with government troops.
Meanwhile, Russian representatives confirmed that the air force continues to bomb «terrorist targets», but denied the Syrian opposition sources that the aircraft stepped up the bombing.
The long-awaited agreement on the ceasefire does not apply to groups deemed to be terrorist and subject to UN sanctions — such as IG and «Dzhabhat EN-Nusra».
