For several days a small Jewish community in Nicaragua has doubled, when 114 people were held in Managua convert to Judaism, organized by the Jewish organization «Kulanu», which is based in new York and supports aspiring to Judaism communities all over the world, the website of The Jewish Week.
Most of those who were a convert to Judaism, consider themselves descendants of anusim — Jews who were forced to change their faith.
Interestingly, immediately after the conversion to Judaism a group of «heroes» section. Most of the new Jews decided to become «Chabad» and to follow the local leader of the Akiva Simcha Fernandez.
The second group, less numerous, call themselves Sephardic Jews. The men of this community wear knitted bale.
