19-year-old boxer from Michigan Aljahmi Hamza, who dreamed of becoming the «new Muhammad Ali», died today from injuries suffered in a debut duel on a professional ring, reports the New York Daily News.
The fight took place on Saturday in Youngstown.
Hamza Alajmi met with another newcomer Anthony Taylor.
Taylor in the first round three times had his opponent in a knockdown. Aljahmi, judging by the notes of the judges, won the second and third rounds. In the fourth round, he fired the hook. Anthony Talo pinned the opponent to the ropes and held mnohodetnoy combination, after which Hamza Alajmi collapsed to the floor and lost consciousness.
He was taken to a hospital. The boxer was in a coma. Despite the efforts of doctors and surgery, he died, without regaining consciousness.
