Monday, November 20, in the office of one of banks in Mogilev (Belarus) a man came in and threatened staff with a pistol, demanded to give him money. One of the Bank employees hit the panic button.
When to a scene there arrived police officers, the attacker took hostage five people, and then began to demand to give him the car. «This requirement has been met. Hostage in the car was the first Deputy chief of police Mogilev regional Executive Committee police Colonel Alexander Vasilyev», – TASS quoted the message of the Department of internal Affairs of Mogilev regional Executive Committee.
The criminal was detained outside the city. He was a citizen of Russia, holding a residence permit in Belarus. «A citizen of Russia, born in 1989, in September of this year received a residence permit,» – said the ATC.
At detention the man has rendered armed resistance and was wounded by police. Currently, he is in the hospital.
In respect of the detainee opened a criminal case under article «hostage-taking». He faces up to 12 years of imprisonment.
