Thursday, September 14, in the Islamic boarding school in the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur there was a fire, which killed at least 25 people (two adults and 23 children), according to the Australian website ABC.
A total of 18 students and teachers managed to escape, seven of them hospitalized.
The tragedy occurred in a three-storey dormitory building of the school «Darul Kuran Ittifaqi», where the main training time is devoted to tahfiz – memorizing the Qur’an by heart, the report says.
In such schools taught boys from 5 to 18 years. Similar educational institutions in Malaysia not only do not obey the Ministry of education, but not under the auspices of the Ministry of religion.
