In a tourist area on the island of Phi Phi in Thailand on the night of 7 February a fire broke out.
According to eyewitnesses, the cause of the fire was the explosion of a gas cylinder in the kitchen of one of the hotels. The fire in a matter of minutes spread to nearby shops and restaurants. In total, according to Thai PBS, the fire damaged at least 20 buildings.
Employees of the Israeli Consulate in Thailand reported that they have no information about the victims of the Israelis.
