Israeli police detained four people, including a senior official of the Jerusalem municipality, on suspicion of accepting bribes, fraud, abuse of office and tax evasion.
The press service of the Israel police reports that, according to suspicion, a senior official, the name and position of which are not known, in exchange for bribes provided to other promotions, as well as providing other illegal services.
Later it became known that in this case was arrested two other suspects.
Police raided the homes and offices of the detainees. Monday, March 12, the world court Rishon LeZion will consider the request for extension of period of detention.
