Wednesday, July 5, at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem there was an emergency. The priests noticed that one of the visitors with a sharp object writes his name on the walls of the Edicule.
According to Walla News, the temple was called by the police. They detained the man and took him to the office, where it turned out that he came from the United States as a tourist.
Edicule — the chapel dome, enclosing the Holy Sepulchre, the greatest Christian Shrine, — at the end of March has opened after a long restoration. Restoration was carried out for the first time in the last 200 years and lasted about nine months. Its value amounted to 3.7 million dollars.
