The Prime Minister of Iraq Haidar al-Abadi sent on 19 June on a tour of the Middle East. He will visit Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The visit to Saudi Arabia was originally scheduled for last week, but had to be postponed, so he is not perceived as support for the Baghdad of Riyadh in the Qatari crisis.
Note that on June 17 the Vice President of Iraq Iyad Allawi accused Qatar that he tried to split Iraq along religious lines. Allawi is himself a secular Shiite, but is popular among Sunnis.
Iran supported Qatar in the conflict with Saudi Arabia – the main opponent of Tehran in the Muslim world. In Doha it was sent several planes with humanitarian aid.
Kuwait, which Iraqi Prime Minister will visit between Iran and Saudi Arabia, took over the duties of mediator in the Qatari crisis.
