Monday, April 17, the President of the Palestinian national authority Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen) has appealed to the international community, demanding to exert pressure on Israel «to save the lives of Palestinian prisoners» participating in the hunger strike in protest against worsening conditions in Israeli prisons.
