Tuesday, August 8, was released from prison № 2 «Lefortovo» resident of Sochi Marina Janjgava and Anik Kesyan, which were found guilty of treason due to SMS sent to Georgia.

Janjgava was arrested in 2012. A year later, the Krasnodar regional court sentenced her to imprisonment for 12 years for an SMS message sent to a friend on the eve of the Georgian armed conflict in South Ossetia in 2008, the movement of military equipment in Sochi.
In the course of preliminary investigation the appointed attorney and an investigator convinced a woman that treason is already sending SMS to the citizen of another country, and she signed a confession.
Kesyan was arrested in February 2014. In 2015 she was sentenced to eight years in prison on similar charges. The FSB called for the message recipients ‘ officers of the Georgian special services.
Protection insisted that the information that their clients are passed on via SMS, because of their vulnerability and accessibility could not be classified as a state secret.
