34-year-old American actress Heather Lind accused the 93-year-old former US President George Bush senior of sexual harassment. According to her, it happened four years ago during a photo shoot, timed to the premiere of the series «Turn: Washington’s Spies».
«He didn’t shake my hand. He sat in a wheelchair, touched my back, while his wife, Barbara Bush stood. He told me a dirty joke. And then when we started taking pictures, again touched me. Barbara rolled her eyes as if to say «not again.»» – quoted RIA Novosti the publication in Instagram Heather Lind.
Lind stated that the former President used his position against her and «many other women» instead to engage in socially useful activity and to serve as a symbol of democracy.
«That comforts me is the fact that I can also use my power, which is not so very different from the power of the President. I can be a symbol of my democracy. I refuse to call him President and to draw attention to other abuses of power. I’m thankful for the bravery of other women who spoke about their cases of harassment. And I thank President Barack Obama for the gesture of respect which he showed to George Bush, but I don’t respect him,» said Lind.
Charges Heather Lind about the former US President came amid a series of scandals involving allegations of sexual harassment in the address of the known figures of cinema, especially of producer Harvey Weinstein.
