Indian city of Ahmadabad, founded 600 years ago, the first in the country included in the list of world heritage of UNESCO.
The decision to add Ahmedabad to the list was made at the 41st meeting of the UNESCO Committee, held in Poland last weekend.
Thus, in the UNESCO world heritage List consist date 1073 of the object.
Ahmedabad is one of the five largest cities in India. The population of the city amount to about 5.8 million people.
The city has many shrines of Islam, Hinduism, and Jainism.
