The United States sent military «plane»sniffer» to the Korean Peninsula amid concerns that Pyongyang may conduct a nuclear test, reports 20 April, the South Korean news Agency Yonhap, citing a government source.
The plane, The WC-135 Constant Phoenix, designed to detect nuclear activity, made Thursday a special RAID in the sea of Japan, said a source.
WC-135 Constant Phoenix is a special-purpose aircraft created through the Boeing C-135 and used by the air forces of the United States. Its mission is to collect samples from the atmosphere in order to detect and identify nuclear explosions. It is also informally called «weather bird» or «the sniffer».
The plane arrived at the Kadena air base in Okinawa earlier this month. Today’s flight leads to the suspicion that North Korea detonated a nuclear bomb. In the press ply rumors that North Korea allegedly informed China about its intention to conduct another test.
