More than 190 U.S. lawmakers from the Democratic party of the United States filed a lawsuit in Federal court against the President of the United States Donald trump. The plaintiffs accuse trump that he received funds from foreign governments through their businesses, without asking permission from Congress, according to Reuters.
According to the lawsuit, since the end of January this year, when trump entered the office of the President of the United States, hundreds of Trump-owned businesses have received cash investments from foreign countries. Thus, according to plaintiffs, the President has violated the law, because the US Constitution requires him to seek congressional authorization to receive foreign funds.
One of the plaintiffs told Reuters that the President has a conflict of interest with 25 countries.
The white house and the U.S. Department of justice declined to comment on the news Agency this information.
