Monday, may 22, Amnesty International published a report on the situation in Turkey.
In this 21-page document notes that during the period of introduction of a state of emergency after coup attempts in Turkey had been dismissed more than 100 thousand civil servants. Often these people have lost their jobs without explanation, based on mere suspicion that they sympathize with the enemies of the regime.
The report also stresses that the dismissed on this basis do not receive any compensation and have no opportunity to challenge the decision to dismiss.
The state of emergency in Turkey was due to expire in July of this year. But after the referendum, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that the state of emergency will last «as long as necessary».
