The district Commission for the planning and construction of the Jerusalem district approved the project on construction of high-rise buildings in the city centre, on the site where, in particular, is the former Management of radio and television.
According to the project on a plot area of 17 dunams, located between the streets Shmuel Baruch, SHAZAR, Jerusalem and Shaare Zedek, will be constructed of four 24-storey buildings, newspaper the Marker informs.
Two buildings intended for housing them in total will be 240 apartments. The other two will house offices and space for public use (total area of 4 thousand square meters). The first two floors of the new houses will occupy the commercial space.
The historic building, where 1902-1980 years housed a hospital «Shaare Zedek,» and since 1995 and, until recently, the Management of television and radio, will be turned into a hotel.
The project was initiated by the development authority of Jerusalem.
