At the ceremony in memory of the fallen in tel-Sheva, the new Zealanders performed a war dance of their ancestors

Tuesday, October 31, in the village of tel Sheva held a ceremony in memory of the Unknown new Zealand soldier. The ceremony was held in the framework of the events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the liberation of Beersheba during the First world war. The event was attended by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu with his wife Sara, the Governor-General of New Zealand Patsy Reddy with her husband and the Prime Minister of Australia Malcolm Turnbull with his wife.

At the ceremony, the soldiers of the Army of New Zealand performed a war dance of the ancestors of the Maori tribe, known as «hack». Video of this action was published in the «Twitter» Corporation «Kan».

The head of the Israeli government at the ceremony said that new Zealanders and Australians who fought in the middle East, saved the lives of many others. He talked about their courage. «In order to fight in an unequal battle, it was necessary courage. Courage is the most important of all human qualities. It guarantees all the rest. We will always owe to the fallen new Zealand soldiers and men of the Australian light brigade, will always be remembered».
