Wednesday, August 2, investigators of Department on fight against organized crime (LAHAV-433) questioned the Prime Minister’s wife, Sarah Netanyahu in the case of offences allegedly took place at the residence of the head of the government.
The investigation lasts for more than two years. It began after the publication of the report of the auditor General, published in February 2015. The then legal Advisor to the government Yehuda Weinstein ordered the investigation of the facts published in the report. In this document it was noted that in the management of the residence of the Prime Minister in Jerusalem, may have been violated some ethical standards and rules applicable to politicians, and in some cases there is reason to believe that the law was violated.
May 29, 2016, the police announced the completion of the investigation of allegations of offences allegedly took place at the residence of the Prime Minister. As reported by the press service of law enforcement, all materials, evidence and findings submitted to the Jerusalem district Prosecutor’s office for consideration and decision.
The police were not informed about what the conclusions in question, and who collected the evidence. In turn, the media reported that the police recommends to present the indictment to the wife of the Prime Minister, Sara Netanyahu, the Deputy Director General of the Prime Minister’s Ezra Saidova and electrician AVI faheem.
Since the publication of the message on completion of investigation, Sara Netanyahu was interrogated one more time. August 2 will be additional questioning.
