61-year-old Brigadier General of the reserves of Avriel Bar-Yosef refused an offer of the post of adviser to the head of the government for national security.
He thanked the Prime Minister for their confidence in him, but said that he prefers to continue working in the private sector. From also assured that is always ready to provide assistance to the head of the government.
Avriel Bar-Yosef 61, he is married, has four children and three grandchildren. 2009 Bar-Yosef held the post of Deputy head of the Headquarters of the national security. He left the post about six months ago.
In the period from 2004 to 2009 he headed the Knesset’s foreign Affairs and security and the Commission for the analysis of the defense budget.
Bar-Yosef served in the IDF for 25 years and retired with the rank of Brigadier General. His last position was the army post became a post of the head of Department of logistics of the naval forces.
