Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met in his office with the Prime Minister of Bulgaria Boyko Borisov, who arrived in Israel together with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of foreign Affairs of Bulgaria.
Netanyahu and Borisov discussed the issues of security, immigration and refugees in Europe, counter-terrorism, cybersecurity, travel business, science and technology, energy and natural gas.
During the meeting, Netanyahu showed the video towards the Palestinian incitement that forces people to commit terrorist attacks. The video demonstrates examples of the inflammatory narrative that is widely used by the Palestinian authority, the Palestinian education system and in children’s programmes on the television channel autonomy.
Benjamin Netanyahu said during the meeting that Israel and Bulgaria had to face the terror of having one source. He recalled the close cooperation between the two countries after the terrorist attack in Burgas. «We know this was just one example of the existence of extensive disease that plagues our country, the middle East and the whole world. Israel and Bulgaria are allies in the fight against terrorism and Islamic extremism. It is a struggle not only for the future of our countries, but also for the future of our common values and common culture. Our partnership strengthens us, and through this cooperation we will win. Therefore, under the sign of a strong friendship, I accept you, my friend, in Jerusalem,» said the head of government.
Speaking about prospects of cooperation, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu highlighted that Israel plans to reduce customs duties and duties on imports, and, in his words, Israel would expect the supply of cheese from Bulgaria.
