Rock musician Boris Grebenshchikov took part in the «Marathon of letters» of the human rights organization Amnesty International in signing the letter to the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation with an appeal to take immediate action and cancel the sentences Oleh Sentsov, Alexander Kolchenko, and Gennady Afanasiev, made by «disproportionately accused of terrorism».

«The letters marathon» of Amnesty International is one of the largest human rights of shares in the world. Within the «marathon» hundreds of thousands of people from around the world write letters addressed to the authorities with a demand to reconsider the relation to people whose rights have been violated.
This year the participants of the «marathon» sign petitions to the authorities of Russia, USA, Syria, El Salvador and Uzbekistan.
Sentsov, Kolchenko and Afanasyev have been detained by FSB officers in Crimea in may last year. According to investigators, they arranged the arson of the local branch of «United Russia», as well as planned terrorist attacks in Crimea. August 25, Sentsov was sentenced to 20 years in a strict regime, and Kolchenko to 10 years in prison.
Note that Sentsov and Kolchenko don’t admit guilt, but human rights organization Amnesty International had earlier called the arrest Sentsov as illegal. With a request to release film Director made Russian Kinosoyuz, the national Union of cinematographers of Ukraine and the Confederation of unions of cinematographers of CIS and Baltic countries. Two other person involved in this case, Gennady Afanasiev, also a defendant in the case, was sentenced to seven years imprisonment in a strict regime colony.
