Thursday, June 8, the Supreme court of Norway declined to consider the appeal of the terrorist Anders Breivik, the accused Norwegian authorities that he was kept in «inhumane» conditions.
After the decision of the Supreme court, the lawyer Breivik said he intends to appeal to the European court of human rights in Strasbourg.
In March this year the court of appeal reversed the decision of the district court of Oslo in April last year, recognized that the conditions of detention of Breivik, which is in strict isolation in a single three-chamber are «inhuman». According to the statement of the court of appeal, insulation Breivik is dictated by the danger he presents to other prisoners, and also fears for the life of Breivik.
We will remind, on July 22, 2011, Anders Breivik committed the terrorist act in Oslo, and then went to the island of Utoya killed at a youth camp. He was sentenced to 21 years in prison with possible extension. Currently, Breivik is serving his term in solitary confinement in the prison city of Skien.
