Ephraim Mirvis, chief Rabbi of the UK, encourages members of the local Jewish community to maintain its commitment to peace and tolerance amid a series of attacks that shook this year the British capital.
About it writes on Monday, June 5, the website of the newspaper the Jerusalem Post.
«After the next attack, after another of the victims and lives destroyed by the terror, each of us again felt too familiar feeling of horror and helplessness. Westminster and Manchester United us, but the terrorists who have not yet managed to poison our community destructive ideology of hatred and prejudice, I hope to do this with even more violent attacks. We must not allow it», – quotes the edition of the text published on the website of the Rabbi in social network Facebook.
«We can’t intimidate and humiliate, and we will not allow to encroach on our values of peace and tolerance. We must unite in the face of these attacks, and keep our principles, by which and defeat terror,» adds Mirvish.
