41-year-old Briton Benjamin L. Stimson in 2015 went to the Donbas to support the separatists, faces a prison sentence for involvement in terrorist actions.
According to The Times, Stimson spent in the ranks of the separatists for four months. After returning to Britain in October 2015 he gave an interview bi-Bi-si in which has told that is ready to kill, if we are talking about the war. However, he said he’s proud of what he is doing, but stressed that he does not consider himself a jihadist «like those fighting in Syria.»
After the interview, Stimson returned to Manchester when he was detained by UK law enforcement agencies. He was charged with participating in terrorist actions that he «did once in the ranks of the rebels opposing the government of Ukraine.»
Also, he was charged with intention to commit a terrorist act, which was later removed.
