The economic Committee of the Knesset approved new guidelines for consumer protection regarding residents of settlements in Judea and Samaria. Instructions were prepared by the Ministry of economy at the request of the Deputy Shuli Moalem-Refaeli («Bayt Yehudi»).
Under the new regulations, based on the law on prohibition of discrimination on the residence, businesses, non-delivery of goods or providing services to clients in Judea and Samaria, or taker for that extra cost, should inform the customer before processing the transaction.
If we are talking about the shops, the notice shall be placed at each cash Desk in large print on the ad size not less than A4 sheet. For online transactions, a warning must be posted in a noticeable place and be bright. Transactions by telephone, the seller is obliged to notify in the course of the conversation.
Instructions, is punishable by a fine in the amount of 10 thousand shekels.
