International criminal police organization made a decision to strike the Sunni theologian Yusuf al-Qaradawi from the list of persons in the international wanted list. This was reported by the Arab organization for human rights.
A warrant for the arrest of theologian residing in Qatar, was issued at the request of Egypt in 2014. Egyptian authorities accused al-Qaradawi of involvement in killings, looting, vandalism, arson and other crimes. All these crimes were committed after the overthrow of President Muhammad Mursi.
However, based in the UK advocates argue that Interpol have established that in the period to which the charges relate, the priest lived in Egypt. According to them, after the check was upheld by only one warrant issued at the request of Egypt.
«This defeat of the regime of Abd al-Fattah al-Sisi. After the coup, accompanied by murders, dozens of Egyptians were thrown into prison, where they torture pulled out of the recognition,» said the head of the Arab organization for human rights, Muhammad Jamil.
