Thursday, July 20, Knesset speaker Yuli Edelstein told the deputies that the decision to resume the visits of politicians to the temple mount.
«In recent days there have been several attempts by MKS to raise the temple mount. In connection with this report that the ban remains in force and no new regulations on this issue», — stated in the letter of the speaker of Parliament.
Earlier it was reported that the visits of the deputies will resume on July 23. In response to the appeal filed in the high court Deputy Yehuda Pikom (Likud), said that the police decided to temporarily open the temple mount to visit the MPs. The pilot project was to begin July 23, however due to recent events, the project was shelved.
Add that on 20 July, the public organization «adala» appealed to the high court with the requirement to give the families the bodies of the terrorists that committed the attack on the Temple mount. «The law does not provide for the right of the police to withhold the body. Everyone has the right to be buried quickly and with dignity».
