Activists of the movement «Other Russia» poured whiskey editor-in-chief of radio station «Echo of Moscow» Alexei Venediktov during a public discussion «Open library».
«The members of the unregistered organization «Other Russia» poured whiskey chief editor of «echo of Moscow» Alexei Venediktov. It happened at the Alexandrinsky theatre in St. Petersburg. There Venediktov took part in a public discussion with writer Alexander Prokhanov. The young people were led away from the scene security. Video of the incident that occurred on Sunday, may 21, was published in social network «Vkontakte». It is seen as a stage ran three people and doused Venediktov liquid from bottles. One of them said that this action «Other Russia», and the second threw into the hall a pack of leaflets. After the attack, the guards pulled the attackers from the scene, reports RIA Novosti.
St. Petersburg police have not received complaints on the incident.
«Cases associated with the incident at the Alexandrinsky theatre, the police didn’t arrive», – reported to Agency «Interfax» in the press service GU MVD in Petersburg and the Leningrad region.
«The other Russia» – unregistered Russian political party established in July 2010 at the Congress in Moscow. In January 2011 the party was denied official registration. «The other Russia» in favour of civic nationalism, revolutionary socialism and direct democracy. Members of the organization are repeatedly subjected to criminal prosecution for participating in the banned National Bolshevik party.
