Thursday, June 8, there were problems with access to the Israeli Russian-language site IzRus, bought two years ago concern «Yediot Ahronot». Against this background, it became known that the website IzRus.co.il from June 15 will be closed by the new owner.
According to the editorial NEWSru.co.il, the current problems were associated with the transfer of IzRus.co.il on servers «Yediot Ahronot». Currently, the website IzRus available.
Question about problems with access IzRus was discussed on air of radio station «Kan Wrecks» with the former owner of this site, Alexander Goldenstein. He confirmed rumors about the imminent closure of the site and expressed regret for this reason.
January 15 this year, «Yediot Ahronot» has launched its own Russian-language online resource Vesty.co.il.
The Website IzRus.co.il was launched in 2008 and has focused on exclusive material about the life of the Russian community of Israel. The first owner was Michael Falkov, a leading sponsor of the site from the first days was the journalist Alexander Kogan. Recently the chief editor of IzRus was Boris Hotin. Monthly audience of the site in 2017 amounted to about 350 thousand people daily – 30 thousand. Currently, the size of the audience Vesty.co.il almost caught up with IzRus.co.il, but is still higher than the most popular Israeli news sites in Russian language.
