US intelligence has information about the formation of the «Islamic state» in Syria, near the border with Iraq, special forces chemical troops, CNN reported citing a U.S. official, who requested anonymity.
In the structure of this division includes experts on chemical weapons, who fought for the Islamic state in Iraq and Syria, which have not previously worked together, according to the publication.
This unit is formed in the border area, located between the Syrian city of Mayadin, and the Iraqi town of al-Qaim, on the territory controlled by ISIS, said CNN. Both cities are in the valley of the Euphrates river.
According to American intelligence, in this area there can be thousands of militants. There may be hiding the leader of the terrorist organization Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. After Rakka was subject to regular air strikes, «Islamic state’s capital» actually moved into the area.

Recall that on 4 April 2017 in an airstrike and subsequent chemical contamination in Khan Sheyhun, in Idlib province, killed about 90 people (including 30 children), about 560 were hospitalized with poisoning, wounds and injuries. The US blamed the chemical attack on the regime of Bashar al-Assad. The defense Ministry claimed that the Syrian air force bombed a weapons warehouse belonging to terrorists, and this has led to the contamination. At the same time provided information that the militants had taken the chemical weapons from these sites to the Iraqi border. Moscow later declared that careful investigation of the incident before imposing any versions and accusations.
April 13, Syrian state news Agency SANA issued a statement of the command of the army of Syria that the Western coalition was allegedly carried out air strikes in the area Jalta, in the governorate of Deir AZ-Zour (the valley of the Euphrates, a few dozen kilometers from Madina), bombing a chemical weapons depot to ISIS, in killing hundreds of people, most of whom were civilians. No evidence of this information Damascus has not been published. The U.S. denied these allegations, accusing the Assad regime in the deliberate dissemination of misinformation.
