The construction of the wall, initiated by the government in order to protect the surrounding settlements and also to prevent the infiltration of terrorists and illegal immigrants into Israel, was conducted under the direction of Brigadier General Eran Ophir, head of the office of the border strip. The barrier, a length of 42 kilometers, consists mainly of wall where you will install additional means of protection, and it will replace the old fence built on this place in the past decade.
