Sports arbitration court in Lausanne rejected the appeal of the head of UEFA Michel Platini, contesting the decision of the ethics Committee of FIFA to suspend him for 90 days from his post, reports the BBC.
However, the court did not recommend extending the period of suspension Platini. 90-day suspension ends on 5 January.
If disqualification is not renewed, then Michel Platini will be able to participate in elections of the FIFA President.
Platini was considered the favorite in the upcoming elections, but, in connection with the removal from office, it is not yet allowed to participate in elections of the head of FIFA.
