Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said on 13 February that the Turkish troops are ready to attack the «Democratic Union», a paramilitary organization of the Syrian Kurds, if it deems them a threat to its security.
Ahmet Davutoglu stressed that the Kurdish organization is a terrorist organization that uses violence against Arabs and the Kurds who do not share her views, as well as pursuing the Syrian Turkmen population, according to Daily Sabah.
Davutoglu said that if «Democratic Union» would threaten the security of Turkey, then it will hit like a blow to the «workers’ party of Kurdistan» in Iraqi Kandil. The Turkish Premier added that Ankara would love the support of allies in this matter. Recall, recently it became known that Saudi Arabia sent aircraft and soldiers on the Turkish base in Incirlik.
It should be noted that the U.S. refuses to recognize the terrorist organization the Syrian Kurds. Russia also opposed the inclusion of the «Democratic Union» in the «black list».
However, on 13 February in the Internet appeared the message that the Turkish artillery began shelling positions of Kurdish fighters in Northern Syria. Ankara has long warned that will not allow the Kurds to occupy the border areas.
