On Tuesday evening, December 15, in Las Vegas hosted a televised debate between candidates for the US presidency from the Republican party. The event was organized by CNN.

In the debate participated the Senator from Florida, Marco Rubio, neurosurgeon and writer Ben Carson, billionaire Donald trump, Senator from Texas Ted Cruz, former Governor of Florida Jeb Bush, Governor of the state of new Jersey Chris Christie, Governor of Ohio John Kasich, the former head of Hewlett-Packard Carly Fiorina and the Senator from Kentucky, Rand Paul.

At the beginning of the debate was made by the applicants with a rating below 3.5%. Then discussed the candidates with a higher rating.

In the debate Donald trump, whose rating remains the highest, reiterated his idea about a ban to enter the USA to the Muslims. «We need to build a wall for this,» he said. In response, Jeb Bush said that such an attitude towards the Muslims will not allow America to fight against «Islamic state», in his opinion the Americans should cooperate with the Muslim world. Against this initiative of trump spoke out and other contenders.

Trump also called for the blocking of certain segments of the Internet in the fight against ISIS. In addition, he stated that he did not intend to go on elections of the U.S. President as an independent candidate, and promised «to do everything possible in order to completely defeat Hillary Clinton».

Chris Christie called for the establishment in Syria of a zone, forbidden for flights, and stated that if elected President he will give the order to shoot down Russian planes, which will violate the boundaries of these areas.

Supported the initiative of creation of such zones and Carly Fiorina, saying that if elected President, «will not communicate with Putin until, until you have set the zone, forbidden for flights in Syria, and will not be restored the missile defense system in Poland».

The media also draw attention to the statement by Rand Paul, who said during the debate that it is not necessary to hope for regime change in Syria.

Ted Cruz, in his turn, expressed the view that if the U.S. toppled the regime of Bashar al-Assad, then ISIS will blow Syria. In addition, Cruz criticized Marco Rubio, saying he’s too indecisive in the fight against illegal immigration.

Rubio criticized Cruz for what he is underestimating this factor in the war on terror, collecting data about the extremists. But Rand Paul endorsed Cruz and attacked Rubio, noting that it is hard to believe the words about «strong defense» that says «the weakest candidate on immigration».

Official candidate for the U.S. presidency from the Republicans will be named at the national party Congress July 18-21, 2016 in Cleveland (Ohio).
