On 73-m to year of life has died, Andrey Menshikov, poet, writer, screenwriter and television Director, reports RIA Novosti.
Andrey Menshikov was associated with the Soviet, and then Russian, TV with 60-ies, when he was the captain of KVN team of Moscow engineering and construction Institute. Since 1975, worked in the youth edition of the Central television as the head of the Department, and since 1987 – in a children’s edition.
Participated in the creation of popular programs: «well-ka, girls!», «Jolly fellows», «good night, kids!», «Alarm clock», «early morning», «Holidays of childhood.»
In 1986, actively engaged in «revival» KVN. Was the author and Director of the first U.S.-Soviet children’s teleconference «Can be one family.» In 1991 he founded and headed the new Russian television Studio television programs for children and youth.
He was repeatedly elected a member of the program Committee of «Eurovision» children’s television. Winner of many international and Russian tularemia. The author of lyrics of many songs for children, author of plays, musicals, film scripts.
