Lillian Betancur, inherited from his father the Empire L’oréal, and is considered one of the richest women in the world, died on 95-th year of life. Her death was announced by the CEO of L’oréal Jean-Paul AGON.
«She has made a significant contribution to the success of the company. We all admired Lillian Betancur that always took care of L’oréal and its employees,» the statement reads.
Forbes magazine estimates the state of the French businesswoman at 44.7 billion dollars. In the list of the richest people in the world it occupied 14-e a place.
