Wednesday, September 13, in new Jersey, in his 81st year of life died an American actor Frank Vincent, known for the TV series David chase «the Sopranos» and the films of Martin Scorsese, informs a portal TMZ.
The publication says that Frank Vincent last week suffered a heart attack, was hospitalized and underwent open-heart surgery. He later died in hospital from postoperative complications.

Born August 4, 1937 in North Adams (Massachusetts, USA) in the Italian-American family; he had the Sicilian (paternal grandfather) and Neapolitan roots. His father, Frank Vincent Gattuso, Sr., was at one time a blacksmith, but later became a businessman.
He started his career as a musician. First role in a movie with his friend Joe Pesci played in 1976 in the movie «the Collector of death». After this film they noticed Robert De Niro and Martin Scorsese. Their subsequent collaboration resulted in three films: «raging bull» (1980), «Goodfellas» (1990) and «Casino» (1995). After these roles, Frank Vincent entrenched image of the gangster is exactly the type he often has to play.
Among his other famous roles – the ruthless new York mobster Phil leotardo from a crime drama television series HBO «the Sopranos». For this role, Frank in 2008 (as well as other members of the main cast) was awarded the prize of Guild of film actors of the USA in the category «Best cast in a drama series».
In total he played in about 40 films and television series.
In 1996, Vincent appeared in the music video «Street Dreams» rapper Nas in the role of Frank Marino – his character from the movie «Casino». Also voiced the role of mafia boss Salvatore Leone in the three parts of the popular game series «Grand Theft Auto» in 2001, (III), 2004 (San Andreas) and 2005 (Liberty City Stories).
In 2006, Frank released his first book «A Guy’s Guide to Being a Man’s Man».
Died September 13, 2017 in new Jersey.
