December 19, on 85-m to year of life died legendary hockey striker Richard «Dickie» Moore, six times won the Stanley Cup in the «Montreal Canadiens,» reports The New York Times.
He performed in «Canadians» in the years 1951-63. Played in one link with Henri Richard, the younger brother of the famous Maurice «Rocket» Richard. In 1958 and 1959 Dickie Moore was top scorer in the NHL. In the 1958-59 season, he broke the record for Gordie Howe, scoring 96 points (41 + 55).
In 1963, Dickie Moore announced the end of his career. But a year later returned to the sport. In 1964-65, he played for «Toronto maple leafs». Then again announced his retirement.
In the 1967-68 season, he returned to the NHL in the composition of the rookie League, «St. Louis Blues». Moore came with the «bluesmen» to the Stanley Cup final, where lost to «Montreal Kanadiens». After that, he finally ended his career.
In 1974 Richard Moore was inducted into the hockey Hall of fame, and in 2005, «the Montreal Canadiens» brought his number out of circulation.
