The founder of the «Islamic movement» Sheikh Abdullah Nimar Darwish died at the age of 69 years at the hospital, «HaSharon» in Petah Tikva.
Darvish established the «Islamic movement» in Kfar Qassem in 1972. In 1981, Darwish was imprisoned for terrorist activities, and in 1985, Sheikh was released in the «transactions of Jabril».
After his release, Darwish began to take part in social activities and act against the participation of Israeli Arabs in terrorist activities. In 1992, Darwish condemned the killing of three Israeli soldiers.
Until recently, Abdullah Nimar Darwish remained the spiritual leader of the southern wing of the «Islamic movement».
