In Umm El-Fahm held numerous protest demonstration against the ban of the Northern wing of the Islamic movement, said the evening of 28 November, 10 channel ITV.
According to some estimates, the demonstration was attended by about 15 thousand people, including Knesset members from the Arab bloc, representatives of the Higher Supervisory Commission of the Arab sector and other activists.
The demonstrators chanted that they were ready to give their lives in the name of the al-Aqsa mosque, and expressed indignation at the government’s decision to ban the organization.
During the demonstration, riots, somebody threw two Molotov cocktails in the town square. No injuries were reported.
The police forced the demonstrators to disperse and began to search the men who threw bottles with an incendiary mix.
Military-political Cabinet has declared the Northern wing of the Islamic movement in Israel an illegal organization 17 November.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stressed that the goal of this decision is to «halt dangerous incitement within Israel and prevent threats to the lives of innocent people.»
