As a result of strong earthquake on Monday, June 12, in the Aegean sea near the Western coast of Turkey, near the epicenter of the Greek island of Lesbos a woman died at the age of about 60 years, at least ten people were injured.

According to the European-Mediterranean seismological center, the epicenter of the earthquake with magnitude of 6.3 located 85 km North-West of Izmir. Closest to the epicenter, 14 km to the South, lies the town of Plomari, on the island of Lesbos. The focus lies at a depth of 10 km.
