Egyptian authorities turned to the international consulting firm Control Risks to conduct a comprehensive audit of work security services at airports.
This decision was taken two months after the crash in the North of the Sinai Peninsula of aircraft of the Russian airline «Kogalymavia», flying from Sharm-El-Sheikh to St. Petersburg. All 224 people who were onboard, were lost.
The Russian investigation found that the cause of the crash was a bomb placed on the plane. Air traffic between Russia and Egypt was interrupted. However, the report prepared by the Ministry of transport of Egypt, the version of the attack called unproven.
Now the authorities of the country of pyramids declare: an appeal to Control Risks aims to restore confidence in the tourism industry. Tourism, along with charges for passing the Suez canal, a major source of foreign currency earnings needed for purchases of food.
The damage that caused the plane crash of Egypt, is estimated at 287 million dollars per month. In 2014, the very successful after the overthrow of Hosni Mubarak, tourism receipts amounted to 7.2 billion dollars, compared to 12.5 billion in 2010.
