In the attack on a hotel in the Egyptian resort city of Hurghada, three persons suffered. According to the revised data, the terrorists were armed, not with firearms, as reported originally.
Sources in the Ministry of health of Egypt reported that the attack at the Bella Vista suffered two Swedish tourists and one Austrian. According to the version of the Egyptian police, two others wounded Austrian and Danish.
Police said security forces shot and killed one of the terrorists. They were Mohammed Hassan Mahfuz (21) of Giza. The second assailant was severely wounded.
The information that the terrorists arrived from the sea, is also not confirmed. It turned out that they entered the hotel through a streetside restaurant.
This is not the first attack on tourists in Egypt in recent times. On 8 January the terrorist organization «Islamic state» has claimed responsibility for the attack in the area of one of the hotels of Cairo, claiming that he intended to murder the Jews. But in fact, when the bomb outside the hotel was a group of tourists from among Israeli Arabs waiting for the bus. No injuries were reported.
