According to the British newspaper the Guardian, referring to the Greek media, on the November 2015 meeting of the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan with the leaders of the EU, the Turkish leader threatened that if his conditions are not fulfilled, Europe will be flooded by millions of refugees.
The talks were held in the Turkish resort of Antalya. The EU was represented by European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker and European Parliament President Donald Tusk. According to the four-page document, the European policy almost fawned before Erdogan.
The Turkish leader has angered Ankara proposed the sum of three billion euros. «We can put refugees into buses and deliver them to the Greek and Bulgarian borders. What are you going to do, shoot me?» he wanted to know.
In response to the words of Juncker, former Prime Minister of Luxembourg, representing 80 million people, Erdogan said that according to his information, Luxembourg is approximately equal to a small Turkish town. He also complained that between the EU and Turkey is not involved in the summit. Such a meeting was immediately organized.
The Turkish President reminded that the provision of economic aid to Greece has been allocated 450 billion dollars, and Turkey offer all three. The negotiations on this issue continued for several weeks. As a result, the EU reported that this amount is only an advance.
