The district court of Westminster considers the case of a native of Ethiopia Tadesse carsmo the 51-year-old accused of attending terrorist training camps in Eritrea, as well as in storage, distribution of instructions for terrorist activities.
Korsmo was arrested on 4 January at Heathrow airport. During the search he was discovered tutorials for snipers used by the US army, and also a brochure entitled «Compendium of rules on security and intelligence,» published, as stated in the indictment, one of the jihadist groups.
In addition, his house was also found instructions for guerrilla warfare in an urban setting and description of technique of fight with the guards using melee weapons.
Korsmo who lives in a family in the heart of Finsbury Park, North London, was granted asylum in the UK in 2009. At home, he was a member of the anti-government group Ginbot7, which, however, is not a terrorist.
The Chairman of the County court of Westminster Emma Arbuthnot said that the case was beyond its jurisdiction and sent him to the Central criminal court of London – the old Bailey.
Defendant released on a bail of 25,000 pounds. Hearings at the old Bailey is scheduled for July 20.
