Independent European organisation for the safety assessment of cars Euro NCAP (European New Car Assessment Program) has compiled a list of the safest cars in 2017.
Just last year, the organization spent about 70 crash tests, the results of which was chosen as the model with the best results in the various classes. In Euro NCAP noted that last year failed to check the security models of all segments, as the number of tests decreased significantly compared to the 2016, writes Motor.ru.
According to the results of crash tests in 2017, the list included seven cars, three of them were of the Volkswagen brand.
The safest machine in the business class called fastback Volkswagen Arteo presented last summer. He earned 36.8 points – 96% of the maximum result.
The safest car in 2017 was the Volvo XC60 with nearly a record in the history of crash tests Euro NCAP assessment, amounting to 37.2 points, or 98% of the maximum result.
