Exit poll: conservative headed by Teresa may lose the absolute majority in the House of Commons

In the UK on Thursday, June 8, held General parliamentary elections. More than 40 thousand polling stations worked from 7:00 to 22:00 local time.

According to preliminary data, the Conservative party led by the current Prime Minister Theresa may wins the election but loses its absolute majority in the House of Commons (326 seats out of 650), reports the news service of the BBC.

According to the exit poll, conducted jointly by the BBC, ITV and Sky, the conservatives get 314 seats – 17 less than in the previous Parliament. The labour party headed by Jeremy Corbin did gets 266 seats (34 more).

The Scottish national party gaining 34 seats in the lower house of Parliament, the liberal democratic party – 14.

Recall that the current parliamentary elections are early. On the conduct of the British government, Theresa may, announced in April. The reason for this decision was disagreement in Parliament in connection with the process of a British exit from the EU.
