The U.S. Treasury Department imposed sanctions against 38 Russian sites, individuals and organizations in connection with the situation around Ukraine. Under the restrictions were 19 organizations and 19 people from Russia and the Donbass, including Deputy Minister of economic development Sergey Nazarov.
In the sanctions list included, among others, the bike center of «Night wolves», whose founder of the eponymous motor club reported Tuesday, June 20, on the official website of the Agency.
Last week the Senate approved new sanctions against Russia and Iran, reminds news Agency RIA Novosti.
Under this bill it was proposed to reduce the maximum term market funding under sanctions Russian banks to 14 days, companies in the oil and gas sector – up to 30 days. A separate clause about the US intention «to oppose construction of the pipeline «Nord stream — 2».
The last time the U.S. Treasury has extended the sanctions list in December. Then it hit 23 Russian companies, restaurateur Yevgeny Prigozhin, six top-managers of Bank «Russia», ADB Management and Sobinbank, as well as a number of leaders of the Russian Tempbank. The expansion of the list in Washington explained the desire «to ensure the effectiveness of existing sanctions against Russia.»
The Kremlin called «absurd» the combination of sanctions with the implementation of the Minsk agreements, because Russia «is not party to the conflict and subject to the agreements on the settlement in Ukraine.»
