At least ten people were killed and several dozen injured in the explosion of the boiler at a garment factory in Bangladesh, reports Reuters.
According to a statement from the fire service, nine people were killed on the spot, another died in the hospital.
The cause of the explosion has not been reported.
The tragedy occurred at the factory in the suburbs of Dhaka – the capital and largest city of Bangladesh.
The owner of the factory is the company Multifabs Limited, which supplies clothes to companies-customers in Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Russia, Spain, the Netherlands and the UK.
Garment industry in Bangladesh employs four million people in the country, is 80% of the state exports.
